Federation of Sweets & Namkeen Manufacturers (FSNM) Membership Rules
1. Introduction
1.1 The Federation of Sweets & Namkeen Manufacturers (FSNM) is a legally recognized industry body representing businesses involved in the manufacturing, distribution, and trade of snacks, sweets, and namkeen products.
1.2 These membership rules are legally binding and govern the eligibility, rights, obligations, and termination of FSNM members.
2. Membership Categories
FSNM offers the following categories of membership:
a) Platinum (Executive) Membership – Rs 21,000/- + GST per Year
- Platinum Members can join all FSNM central & state activities, meetings, state bodies, and central committees.
- All government notices, gazettes, circulars, laws, rules, regulations, and industry news will be shared with members of the FSNM official group.
- Priority access to foreign inquiries and delegation opportunities.
- Authorization to use the FSNM Logo inside stores, showrooms, shops, factories, and packaging.
- Participation in technical sessions and training programs.
- Initial free legal notice support in case of media/social media challenges.
- Free legal advice for Taxation, Food safety law, Labelling law, BIS law, packaging, and legal materiology advice from industry experts.
- Access with all given benefits for self plus one to FSNM meetings and WMNC events.
- Special Platinum Member badges for access to FSNM meetings and events.
- One-year free subscription of Mithai & Namkeen Times. (One copy per month)
b) Gold Membership – Rs 11,000/- + GST per Year
- Access to FSNM’s government notices and industry news.
- Priority access to foreign inquiries and delegation opportunities.
- Participation in technical sessions and training programs.
- Free legal advice on taxation, food safety, labelling, BIS, packaging, and legal metrology.
- Special Gold Member badge for FSNM events.
- One-year free subscription to Mithai & Namkeen Times.
c) Silver Membership – Rs 6,500/- + GST Per Year
- Access to FSNM’s government notices and industry news.
- Participation in technical sessions and training programs.
- Free legal advice on taxation, food safety, labelling, BIS, packaging, and legal metrology.
- One-year free subscription to Mithai & Namkeen Times.
d) Association Membership – Rs 11,000/- + GST per Year
- Access to FSNM’s government notices and industry news.
- Three members (President, Secretary & Treasurer) allowed at FSNM meetings and events.
- Participation in technical sessions and training programs.
- One-year free subscription to Mithai & Namkeen Times.
3. Eligibility Criteria
- Legally registered entity in the sweets and namkeen industry.
- Valid GST and FSSAI licenses.
- Platinum Membership is by invitation only.
- Approval required from an Executive Member or Zonal Vice President.
- Adherence to FSNM’s ethical business standards and industry best practices.
- Commitment to furthering the objectives of FSNM.
4. Application Process
- Prospective members must submit a completed membership application form, available on the FSNM website, along with required supporting documents.
- The application must include proof of business registration, regulatory certifications, and any other necessary documents.
- FSNM reserves the right to accept or reject any membership application at its sole discretion.

For associations with more than 110 members, Rs 100/member will be charged extra. |
- Failure to remit membership dues within the stipulated period shall result in suspension or termination of membership.
- In case a member fails to renew the membership for 1 or more years and again wants to renew the membership, then membership charges for previous years will also be applicable and have to be paid at the time of renewal.
- FSNM retains the right to revise membership fees as necessary, subject to prior notification to existing members.
6. Rights & Responsibilities of Members
- Members shall have the right to participate in FSNM activities, including meetings, industry events, and advocacy initiatives.
- Members must comply with FSNM’s code of conduct and uphold the integrity of the industry.
- Members are required to actively support FSNM’s objectives and cooperate with industry-wide initiatives.
7. Termination & Suspension of FSNM Membership
- Membership may be revoked if a member:
- Engages in activities detrimental to FSNM or the industry.
- Violates FSNM’s ethical or regulatory guidelines.
- Fails to pay membership dues for one consecutive year.
- A member may voluntarily resign by submitting a written resignation notice to FSNM.
- FSNM reserves the right to take legal action against any member whose conduct results in reputational or financial damage to the organization.
- FSNM reserves the sole right to cancel membership in case a member is deemed unfit for the organization without assigning any reason.
8. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes arising under these membership rules shall be subject to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- The jurisdiction for any legal proceedings shall be the courts located in Mumbai, India.
9. Amendments & Updates
- FSNM retains the right to amend these membership rules at its discretion.
- Any modifications shall be communicated to members through official FSNM channels.
